We teach people of all ages skills they need to have fun sailing.
Few things in life give a greater sense of accomplishment and confidence than sailing your own boat — and few are as exhilarating or rewarding than piloting your own sailboat, whether leisurely harnessing the wind, challenging a heavy wind, or competing in a sailboat race.
At Crooked Lake Sailors (CLS), teaching philosophy focuses on empowering our students. We develop resilient, independent, and capable sailors by providing a fun and safe learning environment with help and encouragement close at hand. Traits learned through sailing will help our students succeed in every aspect of their lives!

CLS Discounts and Scholarships
We have increased fees (to $220/wk from $200/wk) to cover our increasing costs in insurance, equipment, fuel, and instructor wages. With the increased tuition, however, a need has arisen to introduce more discount programs to improve affordability for local residents and parents who enroll multiple students for multiple weeks.
For families signing up multiple children and/or for multiple weeks us code MULTI at checkout for 15% off each week purchased.
For students that are local year-round residents we offer a 20% discount, which can be combined with the 15% off multi-week discount for a 35% total discount. See our Youth Discounts page for more information.
Scholarship recipients will be given a one-time-use 100% off code for them to reserve their approved week(s).

To ensure student safety and instruction quality, strict class size limits are in place, and preference is given first come first served. We recommend reserving your place as early as possible. Additionally, we offer scholarships — contact us for more information!
2023 Youth classes run June 26 – August 11 in 5-day sessions for students aged 8 – 18. Beginners tend to find the calmer morning winds more comfortable, so first-timers are encouraged to sign up for morning classes. However, all students are welcome in both classes.
Students older than 18 can look into our Adult Classes.
Private lessons are also available upon request. Private lessons do not have age restrictions.
